Therapy

Child abuse victims need hope and healing, and our mental health professionals are here to help.

The Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center offers a variety of evidence-supported, trauma-focused treatment modalities such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), child-parent psychotherapy (CPP), problematic sexual behavior therapy (PSB-CBT), play therapy, and sandtray therapy. We offer these therapies to those who are experiencing trauma symptoms, and because we know trauma affects the entire family system, services may also be extended to siblings and non-offending caregivers. Additionally, our therapists can also assist in preparing children and families for court, should that become part of the investigative process.

We strive to meet the individual needs of each person and believe in meeting and accepting the client where they are. Our goal is to provide compassion, hope, and healing to those we see.
