The Texarkana Children's Advocacy Center operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization accredited by the National Children's Alliance, CACTX, CACA and is a United Way member. The TCAC was founded in 1996 at the request of local law enforcement and prosecutors to bring the team approach together for child abuse cases. The Texarkana Children's Advocacy Center offers a safe place for children who are victims of abuse and their families to receive comprehensive services from dedicated professionals. These professional services are provided by forensic interviewers, therapists and advocates in a child-friendly environment through a coordinated team approach with local law enforcement, District Attorneys, CPS, etc.

OUR SERVICES

Forensic Interviews

A forensic interview is a neutral, fact-finding interaction between a child and a specially trained forensic interview in response to allegations of abuse or neglect.

Family Advocacy

Trauma and child abuse affect the whole family. When children and families are coping with the initial report and ensuing investigation, our team of dedicated family advocates are here to help.

Therapy

We offer a variety of evidence-supported, trauma-focused treatment modalities to children and families impacted by trauma at no cost to them.

Medical Exams

Our medical services provide child victims with the evaluation they need - without the stressful trip to the ER.

Rainbow Room

Our Rainbow Room ensures child abuse victims and their families have their basic needs met.

Prevention Education

As experts in child maltreatment, prevention, and trauma, we provide educational programs for children, caregivers, child-serving professionals, and community members at no cost.
